Coronavirus updates for upcoming Bikeout trips

Former Cofounder

UPDATED June 11, 11:00AM

We’ve been closely following public health recommendations related to our trips and events.

With the health and safety of our riders our top priority, we made the decision in May to indefinitely postpone all of our large group Bikeout Overnight experiences in 2020. This includes our flagship trip from Philadelphia to Phoenixville previously scheduled for June 6-7 and our Atlanta trip previously scheduled for June 20-21. We believe these larger events will be an important cornerstone of Bikeout in the future and we’ll revisit them again in 2021. Attendees were refunded in May, but if you didn’t receive payment or have any questions, please email us at info@bikeout.co.

We’ve been working behind-the-scenes to figure out our own path forward and recently shared our updated 2020 plans here. We’re shifting focus to our first small group destination Getaway trip to the Finger Lakes in August and are beginning work on a series of curated digital guides that will allow people to take local, self-guided Bikeout trips.

We also redesigned our health and refund policies to be reflective of the ongoing public health crisis.

We truly believe that bike travel makes a whole lot of sense for humans right now, and we appreciate those of you that have supported us by reaching out to our team or giving feedback as we consider our next steps.

We’re on this journey together. Hope to see you soon.
